Frequently asked questions.

How do we release knives?

Knives are released in limited and dated sets. The number of knives released in an edition and the time of release is completely arbitrary and basically whatever seems right at the time. We do not take custom orders any time, whatsoever.

Usually a few days in advance, we will announce an upcoming release (when they will be available for purchase on our website here) on Instagram, and on the homepage of this site. There is no schedule… knives are done when they are done.

What materials do we use?

We have been collecting premium woods, bone, and antler material for years and have a great reserve of some really beautiful exotic woods, some harvested over 100 years ago.

We use 416 stainless steel for our bolsters, 416 stainless rod for pivot pins, Brass for liners and scale pins.

Right now we are primarily using O-1 Tool steel and W2 Tool Steel for our blades and springs. While these steels are both high carbon steels that can and will get a patina with use (and rust with misuse) they are both superior steels in strength and sharpening ease than many other steels used by knife makers today, O1 tool steel out performs 1095 steel in almost every way.

Where are these knives made? and Who makes them?

Our pocket knives are 100% unequivocally and without question Canadian-made right here in our home, by hand, in historical Prince Albert, Ontario.

No two knives are exactly alike, as the building and crafting process involves no automated reproduction… we use basic traditional shop tools and our own jigs.

Shipping questions?

We will ship anywhere Canada Post ships. We will ship using their most basic parcel shipment option always with tracking, unless you request faster shipping in advance. There are some International caveats however:

A: We are not responsible for any border / customs charges your country may ask you to pay when items enter your country.

B: We will not list an item as a “gift”.

C: We are not responsible for lost, or undeliverable items once they leave Canada and Canada Posts hands. While in Canada we will do our part in contacting and working with Canada Post to solve any issues. We (and Canada Post) have no control of items once they leave Canada… THAT BEING SAID, when items transfer to the USA for example they transfer seamlessly to the United States Postal Service, once in USPS’s hands, items can be tracked from their website, as with most reliable Western European postal services… so you are in good hands (but again we do not guarantee their service).

  • We typically ship within a few days of your order, We take our shipments in bulk to our nearest Canada Post outlet, the longest you will wait to hear that we have shipped is 4 days.

  • You will receive a “Item Shipped” email from us once the item has been dropped with Canada Post.
